GCFS Manager Assistant (intern)
2008 - 2009
General Electric Power&Water

This was my first role (meanwhile and) after university, and it provided me with a wealth of learning experiences that have shaped my career. Working in the Global Customer Fulfillment Division for the EMEA region, I coordinated the fulfillment of high-priority and urgent orders, ensuring precision and efficiency at all times. In parallel, I was deeply involved in a large-scale process optimization project focused on ‘LEAN Process Optimization.’ This initiative, which I wrote my dissertation on, aimed to streamline operations across the division, and it gave me a solid foundation in operational excellence.

Additionally, this role exposed me to the dynamics of a multinational environment, where I learned the importance of cross-cultural collaboration and the complexities of global operations. I was fortunate to be mentored by a senior leader, from whom I developed essential managerial and leadership skills. One of the most memorable aspects of this role was coordinating the delivery of oversize gas and steam turbines, a challenge that taught me the significance of precision, logistics, and managing large-scale projects under pressure. These early experiences laid the foundation for my career, shaping my strategic thinking, leadership approach, and ability to navigate complex business challenges.
